Tony’s Coffee 2012 Fair Trade Impact Report

A 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, Fair Trade USA is the leading third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States. Fair Trade USA enables you, the consumer, to make a difference with your dollar. They help people and the planet work in tandem so both are healthy and sustained. They provide farmers in developing nations the tools to thrive as international business people. Instead of creating dependency on aid, Fair Trade USA uses a market-based approach that gives farmers fair prices, workers safe conditions, and entire communities resources for fair, healthy and sustainable lives. They seek to inspire the rise of the Conscious Consumer and eliminate exploitation.

With each pound of green coffee Tony’s purchases, a Fair Trade Premium goes right back into the hands of the producers.  The producers then go back to their co-ops and democratically decide how to use the money.

We are proud to announce that in 2012, Tony’s Coffees purchased 385,632 pounds of Fair Trade Certified coffee resulting in $77,126 in premiums paid back to coffee producers.

We at Primo are so proud to distribute coffees that, in conjunction with Fair Trade USA, are helping to make the world a better place.

Thank you for purchasing Fair Trade Certified Coffees!
