Routine maintenance of your espresso machine is recommended to keep your equipment working at its best. Following a routine maintenance will ensure years of espresso enjoyment. Cleaning your machine is as simple as using the machines own hot water and using a special detergent made for espresso equipment.

Daily Cleaning:

1. Clean your porta-Filter1 by dumping out remaining coffee grinds.
2. Place the Stainless Steel Back Flush Disc2 in the porta-filter.
3. Engage porta-filter into Group and back flush the group by turning on the Brew Switch for 5 seconds. Repeat 3 times.
4. Use espresso machine brush3 to brush away any remaining coffee deposits in the group head


Weekly Cleaning:
Use special espresso machine detergent.

1. Place the Stainless Steel Back Flush into porta-filter.
2. Use 1 teaspoon of detergent in the porta-filter and engage it into group.
3. Turn on the Brew switch for 7 seconds and repeat until the water from the back flush tube turns into foam. Let stand for 5 minutes.
4. After 5 minutes, turn on brewing cycle again for another 7 seconds. Repeat 4 times (you will see the foam turn into a dark color).
5. Remove cleaning discs and turn on brewing cycle again for 4 seconds until water is clear of soap. You should rinse the porta-filter to ensure all the soap is completely rinsed out.

Steam Jet:
Caution: Do not touch steam wand with bare hands.

1. Make sure the holes at the end of the steam jet and wand are “open” by wiping off any excess milk or residue.
2. Twist Steamer Control Knob counter-clockwise to turn machine “on”.
3. For stubborn milk deposits, soak steam wand overnight in pitcher of water. Remove loosened milk with a wet cloth.

Drip Pan:
Lift up and pull out to release tray. Wash with soap and warm water.
